840 yds/lb (52 yards per ounce) "worsted" weight yarn suitable for knitting, weaving and crochet. The color is raw and will develop its intensity and character through washing or boiling in water whose pH has been raised above 10. Available in brown in 1 kg (~2 lbs 2 oz) cones and 200 g ( ~7 oz) skeins. Organically grown by Alvarez Farm in New Mexico, USA; spun and plied in Japan by Taishoboseki. This yarn is 80% “Coyote” brown and 20% Sea Island blended in a way that utilizes the SeaIsland as the core of the yarn. The ply is a bit firmer than the previous 10/2/5 yarns resulting in a stronger, albeit slightly stiffer, yarn. Sea Island white and green are in the works.
